Placote virtual gift card - Terms of use

As soon as you purchase a Placote gift card, as with any other purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You’ll then receive another email containing the link to the virtual gift card, which you can forward to the lucky recipient!

Placote gift cards can only be used on our online store at placote.com, and they have no expiry date.

To use a Placote virtual gift card, you must enter its number in the Gift Card box when paying for your order. There’s no limit on the number of gift cards you can use in a single transaction. If the amount of the order is greater than the amount of the gift card(s) used, you’ll need to pay the difference with another method of payment. If you don’t use the full amount of your gift card, the remaining balance can be used on a future purchase.

You can check the balance of your gift card at any time through the link sent to you by email after your purchase (updating the gift card balance may take a few minutes). If you experience any issues when attempting to check your balance or redeem your gift card, you can contact our Customer Service department at info@placote.com.

Placote gift cards are neither refundable nor redeemable for cash. The value of our gift cards is always displayed in Canadian dollars. Gift cards are like any other method of payment - the amount will be applied to the after-tax purchase amount during the transaction.

Placote virtual gift cards cannot be used to purchase other Placote virtual gift cards.

Sales taxes do not apply to gift card purchases. If your order includes other products, taxes will be applied only to them.

Refunds for products purchased entirely by virtual gift card(s) will be credited to the original gift card(s). You will not receive a new gift card at the time of refund.
